Testimonials
“I was depressed, confused and feeling hopeless when I began seeing Stephanie…
In other words, there didn’t seem to be much light at the end of the tunnel. The first few sessions with Stephanie seemed a bit off-the-wall to me…I’d never heard of the type of therapy she offered…but I hung in there.
I’m glad I did.
Now – even though my life isn’t perfect – there is always a ray of hope or light inside of me that simply cannot be extinguished. I’m not certain how this came about, but it’s real, never-the-less, and I feel stronger as a result.”
– Vince (Fargo, ND)
“As a result of my work with Stephanie, I have learned to connect to myself and notice the sensations within.
I now experience more self-compassion and practice an increasingly positive inner monologue.
My mental health is definitely better!”
– Linsey (Moorhead, MN)

Everything is Energy
The term energy healing describes a variety of holistic techniques that use the natural mind-body connection to promote overall wellness. Energy healing aligns the subconscious and conscious, engaging the whole person to promote better health and wellbeing. Unlike conventional medical approaches, energy healing practitioners access, channel, balance, and shift the body’s natural energy centers. Energy healing brings harmony to help people heal themselves of spiritual, emotional, mental and physical challenges.
In place for thousands of years, energy healing can be traced back to an ancient Indian spiritual tradition of universal energy called “Prana.” “Prana,” or the breath of life, is based on the idea that universal energy is the basic component and source of every life form. People in ancient China believed that all matter pulsates with vibrant energy they call ch’i. This universal energy is composed of two opposing forces — yin and yang — that, when balanced, promote optimal physical and mental health. Acupuncture, for example, uses this principle to help balance the yin and yang energies in the body.
Today, energy healing is a holistic approach that treats the whole person rather than one symptom in isolation and it has grown in popularity. Hundreds of hospitals across the U.S. use Therapeutic Touch (an energy healing modality) to promote health in their patients. And some physicians predict that energy medicine will be the way of the future.
Energy Healing
People who practice energy healing embrace the fact that everything is made of energy, including our bodies, emotions, and thoughts. This premise was established by Nobel Prize Physicist Niels Bohr in the early1900s. Later physicists build upon and expanded his work.
As energy beings, our bodies are connected to each other, the earth and the rest of the universe in unseen ways. While we see and think of our bodies as flesh and bone, our physical bodies are only a small part of what we’re made of. Our every thought and action has an impact on the rest of the world. Without this unseen force of energy, we wouldn’t have life and this energy flow is necessary to keep our bodies, minds, and spirits vibrant and whole… this is how spiritual, physical, emotional and mental recovery takes place. This is the essence of energy healing.
What Does it Mean to Feel Energy?
Our bodies and all matter are comprised of tiny electrons that vibrate and create energy. Some people are more in-tuned to energy and may be able to sense the energy of a person from several feet away or even at a distance, say on a telephone call. Most people have the capabilities and sensitivities to sense energy in some fashion.
- Have you ever walked into a room and felt the energy of an argument that just ensued without actually hearing it?
- Have you ever walked into a crowded space and felt anxious and restless?
- Or have you felt the calm and serenity of a holy place where people pray?
If you’ve answered “yes” to one or more of these questions, you, too, have sensed and experienced energy… and this is what energy healing practitioners experience on a regular basis.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), otherwise known as “Tapping,” was founded in the early 1990s by Gary Craig, a Stanford graduate. It was founded on the belief that stimulating acupressure points can produce healing.
EFT works by tapping or rubbing specific acupressure points on the body while focusing on situations that represent stress, fear or trauma. EFT can also be used to shift false beliefs that are not serving us, such as “I am not worthy.”
EFT draws on various alternative medicine approaches – including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). EFT also combines elements of exposure therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and somatic stimulation.
A powerful way to upgrade your life, EFT is easy to learn and apply by yourself. A trained EFT practitioner may help you take your healing process to a higher level. EFT and similar techniques are often discussed under the umbrella term “energy psychology.”
